Twenty years after ‘What is Social Value? A Discussion Paper’ was published, where have we been, what has been done and whose places and attachments have benefitted? And why has social value presented such a challenge to the powers that be? The presentation looked at why the way that social value has been formulated has been perceived as a threat, and how it has been subverted and to some extent accommodated.
