Since the 1840s Brunswick clay has been shaped into bricks and tiles, gargoyles and pipes, vases and plates. On this tour we’ll hear local stories, learn how clay-based industries have shaped this inner Melbourne suburb, look at some surviving buildings, walk inside huge Hoffman kilns – a site of international importance – and visit a pottery studio, the only clay workers left in Brunswick today.
