Everyday places are characterised by their familiarity, their ordinariness, reflecting the nature of our everyday lives. Can an everyday place be sufficiently ‘special’ to be counted as heritage? In this micro-talk, Chris considered what it means to feel a sense of belonging to place – to feel place as embodied, inside one’s skin – and the ways in which shared everyday places are part of the warp and weft of community.
