An overlooked theme.

Much of the past is in our environment for us to understand and appreciate. Heritage studies now examine our recent history as well as nineteenth century places. This paper reflects upon the Western Region 1986 regional heritage study and looking for specific examples of places – houses, buildings, settlements, travel routes – that remain to illustrate migration history.
