Understanding Aboriginal cultural values was central to developing design concepts and public art opportunities for University and Lincoln Squares based on connection to Country, traditions, stories and contemporary associations across this landscape for the three Traditional Owner organisations recognised at that time by the City of Melbourne. Context guided historical research and Aboriginal engagement, documenting key themes and their potential expression to assist those undertaking the design process.
