The Rocks is a significant part of the Sydney landscape, and highly valued by Sydneysiders. Working with a project team lead by Godden Mackay Logan, Context investigated the importance of The Rocks for local and Sydney communities, and visitors: our methods included focus groups, telephone interviews and surveys. The results – an analysis of community attachment and sense of place, identification of issues and concerns about the future, and development of policy directions designed to respond to these findings – integrated into the overall Heritage Management Plan.
