This report explored opportunities to provide additional guidance on the assessment of social significance (Criterion G) at the state level to support the nomination and assessment of places and objects for the Victorian Heritage Register Criteria. The report examined the guidance used in other Australian jurisdictions and nationally, and recommended next steps.
