Melbourne Gardens: elements of Tromgin and the old alignment of the Birrarung remain [C. Johnston]

Creating a Master Plan for the Melbourne Gardens included engaging with the three Traditional Owner organisations at the start of the planning process in 2016, and again on the draft Master Plan as part of a targeted engagement alongside the wider public exhibition of the draft Master Plan. The project was designed to bring Traditional Owner perspectives into an understanding of this place, focusing on history, connections, cultural traditions and values as well as responding to ideas contained in the draft Master Plan. Each Traditional Owner organisation participated in a workshop and walk-over, sharing important insights with the RBGV and Context team that have helped shape the final Master Plan.
