As a result of the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority works around the South Yarra Station an upgraded citation for the Toorak Road Station was required. Context reviewed the citation through undertaking new fieldwork and historic research and built on previous work that indicated the potential social value of Lovers Walk. The investigation addressed the social values of the area through on site interviews and social media research.

The assessment found that both Lovers Walk and Toorak Road around the Railway Station have social value at the local level. Stonnington subsequently exhibited the Toorak Road Precinct HO150. This heritage assessment served as a pilot project for Stonnington in relation to assessing the social value of a place; Stonnington now aims to consider the potential for further social values research as a regular part of local government heritage overlay reviews.
