The 1803-4 Collins Settlement site in Sorrento is a complex site with strong natural, Aboriginal and historic values. Development of the Future Directions Plan involved careful analysis of the place, and close consultation with a wide range of keenly interested people and organisations representing both Aboriginal and colonial history and contemporary community connections. The plan combines a vision and strategic management directions with a set of policies that apply to both public and private land.
