Expert team exploring the Muldoons fish-trap area [C. Johnston]

This Desktop Comparative Analysis was carried out by Dr Anita Smith with Context. The project aimed to provide evidence of the potential for Budj Bim cultural landscape to be considered for World Heritage listing and to support a submission from the Victorian Government to the Commonwealth Government for the inclusion of Budj Bim on Australia’s Tentative List. The focus of the comparative analysis was the potential Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of the Gunditjmara aquaculture tradition. The final report presented a strong argument for the potential Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of Budj Bim and the inclusion of Budj Bim on Australia’s Tentative List.
