Community heritage workshops throughout these two regions identified a large number of heritage places – including natural areas/features, historic sites, tracks and routes, scenic places and favoured places to visit. Context assessed these places for their community or social value, and the collected information was also used by other studies looking at the aesthetic, historic and Aboriginal heritage values for input into the Regional Forest Agreement process. The community heritage assessments and large inventory of places was returned to the communities in these regions as a possible base for additional heritage documentation at the local level.
