Independent evaluation of the cultural values methodology being developed by WWCHAC for the Birrarung (Yarra River). The pilot project focused on a significant section of the Birrarung documenting cultural associations and values through historical and anthropological research, interviews, on Country visits and group discussions with Wurundjeri Elders and community members, and government stakeholders. Chris Johnston’s role was to observe throughout the project, developing a set of key evaluation questions, and evaluating the processes and outcomes. The evaluation framework was intended to provide guidance for future projects along the remaining stretches of the Birrarung.
